1. Short stay rental:  some of our cottages can be rented in short stay in advance from 2 nights (and more, from 3 to 7 for bank holidays, school vacations, ...). At the last minute we can offer our other lodgings usually rented by the week. This is specified in the description of each gîte. We do not offer a single night stay.
2. Weekly rental: All our cottages can be rented by the week until the fortnight.  Some are also exclusively dedicated to weekly rentals (7 nights minimum), with a specific day of rotation for each. In summer or on certain dates, the fortnight may have priority. This is specified in the description of each gîte.

NO. For everyone's comfort and although we adore cute doggies and cats, we cannot accept them in our cottages.

NO. For the comfort of all, all our cottages are non-smoking. Some have an outdoor terrace or courtyard where you can smoke.

For all our lodgings the packages are ALL INCLUSIVE:
   

1. SERVICES INCLUDED:Charges (water, electricity, heating), linens (sheets, quality towels, bath mat, tea towels), unlimited WiFi, end of stay cleaning (excluding dishes)
      
2. SERVICES OFFERED: The beds are ready on your arrival, heating put on before your arrival if necessary, a few groceries, hygiene and maintenance products to help you out on arrival, cot and high chair (subject to confirmation at the reservation)
      
3. NOT INCLUDED: Tourist tax (1.10 to 1.70 € / night / adult), beach towels to bring with you, additional consumables (groceries, hygiene and maintenance) to be completed by your care during your stay

We provide linens (sheets, quality towels, bath mats, tea towels). Thebeds are made, the heating is put on before your arrival if necessary, we add some essential products in sufficient quantity to help you out on arrival:
   

1. Groceries: salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee capsules, oil, vinegar;
2. Hygiene: shower gel, soap, toilet paper;  
3. Maintenance: sponge, paper towel, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets, detergent, household product, garbage bag.
   
   These consumables will be completed by you during your stay.
   And we are pleased to offer you our carefully selected welcome gift from a small local producer

NO because each of our cottages has a well-equipped kitchen with all maenities : a Nespresso machine + filter coffee maker + kettle + tea set (teapot and / or tea ball).

In the village (by feet), you can buy fresh bread and croissants at the bakery and all products at convenience stores and delicatessens. The Café du Port offers breakfast options and we can recommend nice places by the sea or in the countryside for brunch on Sundays.

YES. Our lodgings are located in the heart of the village or on the quay facing the sea. All the parking lots are public, free all year round in the immediate vicinity of our lodgings. Everything is very easily accessible on foot.

YES.It is recommended to contact the service provider in advance on Port-en-Bessin. Also providers on Bayeux. We will provide you with contact details upon request after booking.

YES, free of charge subject to request and confirmation when booking: baby cot (without sheets) up to 2/3 years with end of travel mattress and high chair. (NB: La Cabane des Pêcheurs is not accessible for children and babies, and therefore does not offer a baby kit)

YES. Port-en-Bessin is a small fishing port which lives all year round. Every day you will find all shops, supermarkets, grocery storefine, bakery, fish market in direct sale and fishmonger in the morning from Tuesday to Sunday, the weekly market on Sunday morning.
On leaving the village, the organic market gardener offers direct sales to the farm once a week.
Also services for residents, garage and service station, bicycle rental, bank and post office, doctors, pharmacy and nurses ...

We also have our small designer and designer store in La Compagnie Ordinaire de la Mer village . In summer in the large courtyard garden we offer a coffee | cider bar | tea room and one-off events with guests: Chefs, creators, second-hand dealers, artists, ...

NO. Our largest house can accommodate up to 4 people, not more.  Even if you are divided into several lodgings for sleeping, you will certainly want to share moments together around the dining table or the living room. Equipment, dishes, furniture will not allow this. We count on our guests to respect the maximum capacity provided for each accomodation and not to move dishes and furniture from one accomodation to another. In the village and surroundings, you will find lodgings designed to accommodate up to 15 people.

but YES if ... you want everyone to keep their independence and plan to take your meals outside. For example, 2 couples may wish to each rent an apartment at La Maison Matelot and have lunch / dinner at the restaurant.

YES. Depending on your wishes, we will share our favorite addresses on your arrival or before your stay: restaurants, brasseries, oyster shack, beach bar, brunch, coffee shop and tea rooms ...

NO sorry, because all are located in old fishermen's houses with internal and sometimes external staircases. In the old port district, the alleys are sloping with narrow sidewalks and paved pavement.
However at La Maison Matelot the apartment on the Ground Floor "Le Matelot à carreaux" may be suitable for those who want accommodation without stairs if only  they can climb a step (access to the house) and use the antique bathtub (quite high, with handle)

Starting from 5pm (17h). We invite you to specify your arrival time when booking or the days before your arrival. Late or night arrival is possible with a secure key and code box system. This means you need to inform us in advance

Check-out is scheduled at 10 a.m. maximum (until noon at La Maison Matelot, L'Esprit du Port and Poisson Nomade), unless otherwise arrangement. Notify us of your check-out time, we will come to greet you on the spot or indicate the key box.

End of stay cleaning is a service included. When you leave,  the house or the apartment must be tidy, clean and tidy dishes, empty dishwasher, empty fridge, sorted and collected garbage cans. Otherwise, you may be charged and this is not the deal ;-) We take care of the household and household linen. Any object broken by you is due and must be reported

NO. For the sake of your comfort and space. We offer apartments and houses for 1 to 4 people with beds in bedrooms.

YES on order in advance. For your late arrivals or without stress, we offer delivery of 1 or more products from: Seafood platter or locally smoked fish, selection of norman duck or pork paté, jams, chocolates, ice creams, baker's bread ... As well as a selection of quality cellars: natural wines, remarkable ciders, local organic beers, artisanal juices, teas and infusions from the range of our boutique-cellar. If you wish, the table will be set up in your accomodation before your arrival. The supermarket can offer delivery or grocery shopping. Also fresh flowers, birthday cakes, Chef at home ... contact us in advance!
